My passion for natural birth runs high!  I am a firm believer in the ability of a woman's body to birth without intervention and to allow the process to unfold in its unique and perfect way.  

On a professional level, I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from UIC in 1994 and worked as an RN for almost 10 years.  In August of 2006 I attended the ALACE Labor Assistant workshop & started attending births immediately afterwards.  After 3 years of wonderful experience, I made the decision to pursue teaching and recently received my certification in childbirth education through Prepared Childbirth Educators.

On a personal level, I am married with 3 lovely children of my own.  Our first two were born naturally in a hospital with a fabulous midwife and our last little joy was born at home.
